The Healthy Minds Service will also work with people with established mental health problems to build resilience and support recovery.

Social prescribing is about supporting patients to access non-medical sources of support in the community with the aim of addressing wider social needs and developing alternative responses to mental distress. The maximum budget allocated to this service is 75 000 GBP per annum. This element will work with a minimum of 300 people per year and will tailor support based on people’s needs.

This strand will support over 400 people a year to take part in directly provided activities and 200 to take part in sustained activities with universal services.

This strand will support at least 150 people a year into sustained volunteering and giving and 100 people with mental health needs will benefit from peer support and volunteering.
