Cardiff and Vale College is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified organisation to provide an appropriate site and/or building and to design, build and deliver a new community campus (the “Project”) within a defined geographical footprint in/near to Cardiff city centre. Given its proposed dimensions, the Project requires a footprint of not less than 1,9 acres. The site and/or building proposed must be located within a 900 metre radius of the St David’s 2 shopping centre. The current anticipated value of the Project is approximately £40m, with a proposed handover date of no later than May 2015. Prospective bidders must evidence the availability of a suitable site and/or building that satisfies the College’s requirements at pre qualification (PQQ) stage. During the course of dialogue, the College will explore bidder solutions that deliver social, economic and environmental sustainability objectives. Further and more detailed information is set out in a memorandum of information (MOI) which is available on request (see section VI.3).

Bidders who request a PQQ will also be provided with an MOI which provides outline information in relation to the works/services being procured and the Project generally.
The award (and terms) of any contract may be subject to funding, and if so, the funding requirements of the Welsh Government.
All tender costs and liabilities incurred by bidders shall be the sole responsibility of bidders.
