The City of Cardiff Council is looking to procure commercial partner(s) to assist the Council to exploit its corporate assets to generate sustainable maximised income so that revenue can be used to support corporate activities through sponsorship and advertising activities.

The Council has many assets and prime highway locations that are attractive to advertisers. These assets have the potential to generate a significant annual income. The asset types include roundabouts, street furniture, lampposts and mobile assets that have rarely achieved full market value. This contract seeks to address this by the procurement of an agent who will generate an increased and sustainable annual income stream going forward.

The tender is broken down into multiple lots and will be awarded on a sole supplier basis. Tenders may be submitted for one, several or all lots on offer, but tenderers must ensure that they have the capacity to deliver should they successful on more than one lot.

The Council is seeking to appoint a partner agent who will act on its behalf to maximise new and existing sponsorship income through advertising on its asset portfolio of Roundabouts. This initiative will also give local business the opportunity to advertise in prime locations around the city. Traffic flow information and very high footfall pedestrian areas, Cardiff can offer advertisers exposure across its road network to be seen by road users and pedestrians alike.

Please note: The City Centre currently manage its own advertising space and will reserve the right to sell the space for the lamppost banners and bench ends throughout the life of the contract.
