The service will provide rehabilitation and support those who require more intensive support for a period of time to assist them to gain or regain skills they need to enable them to continue living in the community.
The service shall be available to Supported Persons 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, every week of the year. It will include sleep in night cover.
The contract award will be for a period of 3 years, with 2 1-year extensions at the discretion of the council.

The service shall be available to Supported Persons 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, every week of the year. It will include sleep in night cover.
The contract award will be for a period of 3 years, with 2 1-year extensions at the discretion of the council.

Bidders must confirm that they are appropriately registered with the Care Inspectorate for the services required.
Bidders will be required to provide examples that demonstrate that they have the relevant experience to deliver the services as described. A minimum of 2 examples will be required.

Bidders will be required to state the values for the following ratio(s):

It is a requirement of this contract that bidders hold, or can commit to obtain prior to the commencement of any subsequently awarded contract, the types and minimum levels of insurance indicated below:
Employer’s Liability Insurance = 10 000 000 GBP
Public Liability Insurance = 5 000 000 GBP

The Contracting Authority does not intend to include a sub-contract clause as part of community benefits (as per Section 25 of the Procurement Reform (Scotland) Act 2014) in this contract for the following reason:
A Sub-contract clause is not relevant for a social care contract, and the value of the individual lots is under 4 000 000 GBP.
