The Council of the London Borough of Waltham Forest (‘the Authority’) is seeking tenders from suitably experienced and qualified organisations for the Contract for the provision of a carers support service in the London Borough of Waltham Forest (‘the Contract’).
The Contract shall commence on 1 October 2020 and, subject to satisfactory performance, shall continue up to and including 30 September 2023 (‘the Contract Period’). At the sole discretion of the Authority and subject to satisfactory performance of the provider, the Contract Period may be extended in such period or periods as the Authority deems appropriate up to a maximum twenty-four (24) months, providing a possible total Contract Period to midnight on 30 September 2025.
The Contract is for the provision of a carers support service within the London Borough of Waltham Forest. The successful provider will be required to provide a universal, high-quality and flexible carers support service to unpaid carers aged eighteen (18) and over.

The Contract is being procured in accordance with the Public Contract Regulations 2015 (to the extent they are applicable to services of this nature and utilising the flexibilities provided for social services). The contracting Authority will incorporate a minimum ten (10) day calendar day standstill period at the point of information on the award of the Contract is communicated to tenderers. This period allows successful tenderers to seek further de-briefing from the contracting authority before the Contract is entered into. Additional information should be requested from the contact in section 1.1. If an appeal regarding the award of contract has not been successfully resolved the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (S1 2015 No 102) provide for aggrieved parties who have been harmed or at risk of harm by breach of the rules to take action in the High Court (England and Wales).
