We have considered Lotting under this contract however it was deemed not appropriate for the following reasons:
— the new carer model being proposed for the provision of carer services in Newcastle upon Tyne. This is a single model and lends itself to a single provider,
— the difficulty expressed by carers of accessing multiple providers,
— the award of the contract to a single provider will maximise infrastructure savings,
— the Care Act 2014 recognises the need to reduce multiple professional contact in peoples lives.
This information relates to Annex B5.
