Description of the goods or services required

Carriageway testing within Angus (adopted road network) to determine makeup and condition of carriageways detailed in Bill of Quantities. All testing to be in accordance with Chapter 7 of HD 29/08 of Design Manual for Roads and Bridges.

3 Conditions for Participation

Minimum standards and qualification required

Minimum standards and qualification required

Applicants must hold or commit themselves to holding prior to the date of contract award the following minimum insurances with a reputable insurance company:

-employers’ liability insurance to the extent of at least £10m per claim and unlimited in total;

-public / product liability insurance to the extent of at least £5m per claim and unlimited in total;

-professional indemnity insurance to the extent of at least £1m per claim and unlimited in total.

Technical and professional ability

Applicants must demonstrate that they have a good track record of successful delivery of services comparable in nature and scale to the supply for which tenders are now sought;

Applicants must have the following minimum Health and Safety record:

(1)no more than 3 prohibition or improvement notices issued by the Health & Safety Executive / relevant authority under Health and Safety legislation within the last 12 months from the Tender Return Date; and

(2)no convictions recorded for causing a fatality within the last 3 years from the application return date.
