Notting Hill Genesis (NHG) wishes to appoint a single provider to provide a Catering service across a portfolio of 25 of its care and support schemes. The schemes are spread across London, Essex, Hertfordshire, Suffolk, and the schemes vary in size from approximately 20 to approximately 60 people. Our schemes support elderly people and people with learning difficulties. At some schemes, our current catering assistants also provide certain cleaning services to common parts of the scheme; this cleaning function will also form part of the Contract. The Contractor will also have the responsibility for ensuring that there is sufficient staff and resource to perform the services and to undertake Ancillary Catering services to our schemes in the way of a weekly shopping facility.The appointed caterer will employ the catering staff (with a TUPE transfer from each scheme envisaged).

Support schemes. The schemes are spread across London, Essex, Hertfordshire, Suffolk, and the schemes vary in size from approximately 20 to approximately 60 people.
Our schemes support elderly people and people with learning difficulties. At some schemes, our current catering assistants also provide certain cleaning services to common parts of the scheme, this cleaning function will also form part of the Contract. The Contractor will also have the responsibility for ensuring that there is sufficient staff and resource to perform the services and to undertake Ancillary Catering services to our schemes in the way of a weekly shopping facility, which is active in 20 schemes and provides additional items to make up some residents 3 days a meal service.
NHG is seeking a contract caterer to provide a high-quality, nutritious, choice-based meal service,the current catering service at these schemes is currently managed scheme-by-scheme, with a mixture of direct provision through NHG staff, agency and scheme-specific outsourcings, the caterer will employ the catering staff (with a TUPE transfer from each scheme envisaged).
NHG wishes to appoint a single provider for these schemes to provide a consistent high-quality service across the portfolio, NHG hopes to find a contractor which can contribute innovative ideas for further business opportunities, support current and new staff with training and development, and ensure resident satisfaction.
