Valley Invicta Academies Trust (VIAT) is tendering the catering services across four secondary schools and 4 primary schools based in the Maidstone and Malling areas of Kent. The secondary and primary schools are in separate tenders, both with a contract start date of August 2020. The secondary schools are all in modern buildings with well equipped kitchens; combined sales turnover is circa 700 000 GBP per annum. Whilst the Trust has core objectives for the tender each school has budget responsibility and each Head Teacher has specific requirements for their school. As a result these individual needs will need to be met as part of the tender process and ‘one size will not fit all’. Local support and resources are an essential requirement for each of the schools.
