Norfolk County Council is looking to procure a catering service at Grays Fair Court, 266 Dereham Road, New Costessey, Norwich. NR5 0SN, to prepare and provide meals and refreshments for 20 people who receive respite care 365 days per year at Grays Fair Court.
The respite meals service will include breakfast, dinner, tea, snacks and beverages for people in respite care in order to:
— provide a quality assured catering service to meet the nutritional and dietary needs of people receiving respite care (all food should meet Care Quality Commission (CQC) Guidelines),
— enable individuals to make healthy choices,
— ensure that individuals receive a service appropriate to their needs,
— support health and wellbeing.
Within this contract, the provider will also offer a meals service every day for up to 40 Grays Fair Court Housing with Care tenants who choose to purchase meals and approximately 25-30 people who attend the Day Service each day Monday to Friday, any family, friends, Age UK (Norfolk) employees and any other visitors to the scheme.
The provider will have full use of the Grays Fair Court kitchen facilities and equipment and will be able to use the kitchen facilities to help ensure their business remains viable and sustainable.

Precise information on deadline(s) for lodging appeals: The Council has voluntarily decided to incorporate a standstill period at the point when information on the proposed award of the contract is communicated to tenderers. The standstill period, which will be for a minimum of ten calendar days, provides time for unsuccessful tenders to challenge the award decision before the Contract is entered into. Aggrieved parties who have been harmed or are at risk of harm by any breach of the Council’s obligations may take action in the High Court (England, Wales and Northern Ireland).
