Central London Taxi Service Contract

Description of the contract

Home Office requirement for the provision of a taxi service to transport staff to and from various locations in and around central and greater London. Occasional travel may also be required to some other locations As the service will be required to transport staff (sometimes carrying important documentation or encripted equipment), ministers as well as the Home Secretary, ALL drivers will need to be security cleared to the required standard. The service will be required 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and therefore an out of hours booking service will need to be provided. The requirement will be split into the following two lots: Lot 1 – Daily taxi service provision to transport staff, ministers and sometime the Home Secretary to and from various locations in and around central and greater London (and occasionally other locations) Lot 2 – Special vehicle required with wheelchair and a grab rail/steps/ramp access to transport a member of staff from W14 (at 7:45am) to SW1 and a return journey each day (17:30pm). The service will be required 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) for a total of approx 135 days a year. The supplier will also be required to provide management information to the Home Office on a monthly basis which details each journey that has been undertaken

How to apply

How to apply: The Home Office uses an eSourcing toolkit to enable its sourcing activities to be conducted over the Internet. Any organisation intending to submit an expression of interest must be registered as a supplier with the Home Office eSourcing Portal. To register, visit the Portal’s Login Page at https://sourcing.homeoffice.gov.uk and complete the online registration form by clicking on the “Register Supplier Organisation” link in the top right-hand corner of the page. The entire process should take no more than 10 minutes and need only be completed once. Passwords are issued via email, normally within 1 working day. Please contact the eSourcing Help Desk for support in completing the online registration process; call 01633 811 600 or email eEnablers@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk. Once registered, organisations intending to submit an expression of interest must send an email to eEnablers@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk any time up to, but no later than Friday 4th May 2012. The email should be entitled London Taxi Service and contain the following details: your organisation’s name; your contact’s email address; your contact’s name and your contact’s telephone number. Any expressions of interest not submitted in the required form (or containing the requested information) may be rejected. If, however, you believe that there are reasons as to why you would be unable to use the eSourcing service, please let us know by emailing eEnablers@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk and we will consider how best to overcome your difficulties. Organisations who have complied with the foregoing will receive details of how to access and complete the online Request for Proposal (RFP).
