Title

Provision of Professional Clinical Doctorate in Child Psychotherapy

2.2

Description of the goods or services required

Development, delivery and evaluation of an educational programme in Child Psychotherapy to Doctorate level (SCQF Level 12 or equivalent) to meet the specification of the Association of Child Psychotherapists Quality Assurance Framework.

The project involves the design, delivery and evaluation of an educational programme offering 4 training places to equip trainees to deliver Child Psychotherapy at Doctorate level. Trainees will acquire their Child Psychotherapy competences within NHS Scotland CAMHS services, and will be supervised by Child & Adolescent Psychotherapists.

There is a maximum budget of £262,060 excluding VAT for this project, NES funding must be distributed over 5 years.

3 Conditions for Participation

3.1

Minimum standards and qualification required

You will work in partnership with the NES Psychology Training Office and the NHS Health Board partners using current partnership approaches to best practice selection and employment. This process and timescale will be defined by the NES Psychology Training Office. Graduates must be eligible for membership of the Association of Child Psychotherapists and of the Scottish Association of Psychoanalytical Psychotherapists.
