Call-off contracts will be for the supply, packaging and delivery of a range of specified books each calendar month to children from 0 to 5 years of age, who have registered with the particular Contracting Authority (or an organisation appointed by the Authority for that purpose).

Rotherham MBC is seeking expressions of interest in the form of a pre tender questionnaire (PTQ) in respect of a sole provider framework agreement for its Children’s Book-Gifting Service which all of the local authorities in the UK may call-off orders.
Call-off contracts will be for the supply, packaging and delivery of a range of specified books each calendar month to children from 0 to five years of age, who have registered with the particular Contracting Authority (or an organisation appointed by the Authority for that purpose).
Pre tender questionnaire (PTQ) documents are available via the SCMS Alito e-tendering system: http://scms.alito.co.uk.

All interested parties must complete and electronically return the completed PTQ document via the SCMS Alito e-tendering system. PTQs will not be accepted by any other means. The closing date for the return of PTQ documents is 17:00 hours on Friday 27.7.2012.
Shortlisted suppliers will be invited to tender.

— Experience of successful relationships and working with publishers,
— Experience of issues and problems encountered in delivering similar services and its experiences of overcoming them,
— Experience of effective relationship management with publisher(s) in terms of titles availability and timeliness of availability,
— Understanding of how the scheme operates in relation to the Early Years Foundation Stage framework and the Children and Young People’s Plan.
