We would like to discuss with the market, what might be your offer through this open competition and in preparation of the LOTS and how you might develop services in North Tyneside.
Business Opportunity North Tyneside Council – Children’s Respite and Short breaks procurement 2023 North Tyneside is going to offer a new business opportunity to the market in February 2023, with a new Children’s and Young People’s Community framework to commence in July 2023 to run for a minimum of 3 years plus 2 x 12 month extensions, as part of the consultation process, we would like to discuss with you this opportunity which will be open to Ofsted, CQC and unregulated providers to provide short breaks to Children and Young people aged 0-25 years, and we would like to discuss how you can register on NEPO and Open the new procurement portal between October 22 to January 2023, to complete some tender readiness work with you, and to gather your interest in applying for this tender. Currently most of these services are purchased on a spot purchase basis, rather than a fully commissioned service. And we suspect a lot of interested providers will need to be registered/ re-registered with Open our new procurement system, which we will do as part of this exercise. We would like to discuss with the market, what might be your offer through this open competition and in preparation of the LOTS and how you might develop services in North Tyneside and widen the scope of commissioned services to children with all types of disabilities, LD, MH, Autism and complex health needs, which includes generic conditions, mobility and communication issues to support them and their families, with delivering outcomes which may include socialisation, a break from their families and carers, at times supporting them and their families to attend events and family occasions, support with life changes and with preparing for adulthood and supporting them to live their best lives.
The children and young people may have life limiting conditions, but also behaviours that challenge and will be a mix of those on the edge of care and may include those who are a child in care or a young person transitioning to adult services, the majority will be disabled and may also have statements of education need and or disability (EHCP). We are interested in gathering your feedback as part of this consultation on what you might be able to offer and to develop the service offer with your input alongside the consultation with families, carers and young people.
