Kettering General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Northampton General NHS Trust and Bedford Hospital NHS Trust, Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust require a supplier(s) to supply domestic consumables and cleaning products (identified in 3 separate lots) to the Trusts for a period of three years and may be extended by a further twelve months upto a maximum of two occasions.

II.2.1)Total quantity or scope:

Annual spend is estimated to be between 800 000 GBP and 900 000 GBP and is dependent on budget availability.
Lot 1 Recycled tissue paper products – to include hand towels, toilet rolls/tissue, couch rolls (hand towel and toilet roll/tissue dispensers must be included). Estimated 12 month spend 434 000 GBP. Lot 2 clinical and domestic waste bags. Estimated 12 month spend 220 000 GPB. Lot 3 – disposables and general cleaning items and chemicals (mops, buckets, brushes, dust pans, cloths, floor pads, dusting, and other misc. items). Estimated 12 month spend 170 000 GBP.
The contract will be let for an initial three year period (at an estimated contract value of 2 700 000 GBP) and may be extended for a further twelve months per lot up to a maximum of two occasions (to realize an estimated contract value of up to 4 500 000 GBP). Estimated total value of purchases for the entire duration of the contract.

The Authority reserves the right to purchase the Domestic consumable cleaning products for delivery into the Trust via a third party such as a neutral wholesaler or other distributer. The third party will be required to maintain appropriate stocks such as to provide a 99 % service level for delivery to the Trust next day and in accordance with the Authority’s delivery requirements.
Therefore following Contract award, the Contractor will be required to enter into an agreement with such third party as required to meet the above requirement and this should be cost neutral to the Authority.
