The Council has in place an existing contract for cleaning services at Corporate Properties. This will now be re-procured and TUPE will apply. At present there are around 150 properties within the existing contract however this number will reduce over the next four years as the Council implements a programme of consolidation of assets.
The contract will run from 1.4.2014 to 31.3.2017 plus optional 1 year extension.

If the Contracting Authority decides to enter into a contract with the successful
supplier, this does not mean that there is any guarantee of subsequent contracts being awarded.
Any expenditure, work or effort undertaken prior to contract award is accordingly a matter
solely for the commercial judgement of potential suppliers. The Contracting Authority reserve the right to use any electronic portal during the life of the agreement.
The duration referenced in Section II.1.4 is for the dureation of the contract which is 1.4.2014 to 31.3.2017 but there is an optional 1 year extension to 31.3.2018.
