Description of the contract

Kent and Medway Partnership Trust (KMPT) have a requirement to contract cleaning services to non-clinical buildings in Larkfield and Sittingbourne, Kent The successful contractor must provide cleaning services on a scheduled, planned and ad-hoc basis as required to meet the service standards. The contractor will also be required to supply all chemicals and consumables such as paper towels, toilet rolls, kitchen rolls, blue rolls as well as mops, buckets, cloths and all other consumables to enable them to provide this service The cleaning service must consist of; • Scheduled cleaning. • Replenishment of materials, disposables, consumables e.g. toilet tissue, hand towels, hand cleanser etc. • Removal of trade, recycling and clinical waste to external waste bins. • Flushing of infrequently used water outlets and robust documentation as per Legionella requirements. The contractor will be responsible for the cleaning of all functional areas to NHS standards and monitoring frequencies as defined in the National Specification for Cleanliness in the NHS (NPSA, 2010) according to risk level.
