The contract comprises the cleaning of the residential portfolio and the Edge Sports Facility at the University of Leeds. The University provides accommodation for approximately 7 000 students, approximately 5 000 of which are housed in 10 large University managed Student Residences and up to 30 smaller properties.
The Edge sports centre has one of the largest fitness suites of any UK University, 2 large indoor courts, 3 dedicated class studios, squash Courts, Climbing Wall and an outdoor 5 a side pitch. The facility has approximately 15 000 members with high usage focused around term time and plays host to many national and international events throughout a year.

The tender shall be divided into 4 Lots
— Lot 1 A; Accommodation Cleaning at those named sites
— Lot 1 B; Conference Cleaning and Housekeeping Service
— Lot 2; Contractual & Conference Cleaning at those named sites
— Lot 3; Cleaning of the Edge Sports and Physical Activity named sites.

Suppliers are invited to bid for any 1 Lot, any combination of any 2 or 3 Lots or for all 4 of the Lots as set out above.
The University of Leeds reserves the right to limit the number of Lots to which any one supplier will be awarded to 2 (two) Lots only. This is to support capacity management across the supplier base and to ensure that the fluctuations in demand can be managed effective across all areas of the University campus at any 1 time.
