The Scottish Prison Service (SPS) requires a supplier to provide a fully managed clerk of works service for the development of construction projects including new build or refurbishment, specialist systems design and installation (e.g. CCTV installations, fire detection upgrading, etc.) and major maintenance (including services such as mechanical plant replacement). It is also anticipated that minor ad-hoc requirements will be delivered through the contract.

The Scottish Prison Service (SPS) is to establish a 5-year contract (2 + 2 + 2) for the provision of a clerk of works service that is required to support the delivery of its future development programme. The successful supplier shall provide a clerk of works service on the various major, minor, maintenance, mechanical and electrical projects to be undertaken throughout the SPS estate.
