— Core evidence dissemination role – scientific information and research built around climate projections but also encompassing adaptation options is provided by a number of organisations in the UK. The climate projections produced by the Met Office and the information service provided by the EA are considered as the core of this evidence base. The contractor will be required to support the dissemination of this and other relevant information ensuring that it is accessible and relevant to particular sectors and Northern Ireland stakeholders,
— Knowledge transfer role – capacity to (work with others to) translate research and evidence into meaningful guidance, tools, standards, and training content for key audiences, and deliver / disseminate these effectively. The contractor will be required to provide resources and tools to support adaptation by particular groups and sectors. This includes practical actions that can be taken by particular organisations or professionals as well as skills development and training,
— Outreach and capacity building role – capacity to engage on a practical level with local organisations addressing adaptation challenges – providing encouragement, practical networking, support and information on the types of adaptations.

Tenderers must demonstrate a minimum of 2 years experience through the use of an example (or examples), of project(s) carried out within the last 3 years, that their company has the necessary experience to deliver a service of similar scope to that described (dates must be provided for each example).
Tenderers must demonstrate that they will have the available resources to commence work no later than 1.4.2012.
