West Yorkshire Police are seeking applications from suitably experienced and qualified companies who are capable of providing the techniques of Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT). The successful supplier will demonstrate adequate experience and qualifications in these two fields in particular.
The main service required relates to one to one assessment and therapy which is provided to Police Officers and Police Staff.
These services are required to treat a wide spectrum of psychological disturbances including but not limited to; depression, stress, anxiety, bereavement and psychological trauma.
Psychological issues may, in some cases, be the cause of employee absenteeism and it is anticipated that the psychological treatment provided through this contract will enable individuals to return to the work place.
In addition to one to one services, the successful contractor will be required to provide:
—Group therapy sessions for specialist units,
—Group training sessions with the Occupational Health Department,
—General Advice to the Occupational Health Department,
—Initial assessment reports, reports for GP’s and discharge reports.
The successful Contractor will work in conjunction with the Occupational Health Unit (OHU) and other members of the Force as appropriate.
This tender is divided into two geographical lots.
The Lot 1 supplier will have a suitable premise which is located within either Airedale, Bradford or Leeds.
The Lot 2 supplier will have a suitable premise which is located within either Calderdale, Kirklees or Wakefield.
Contractors must offer suitable premises. Premises may be owned or leased although must be suitable for their purpose, taking into account; accessibility, car parking and maintenance of patient confidentiality.

West Yorkshire Police are seeking to award a 3 year framework agreement (plus a 12 month extension period subject to satisfactory performance) to a maximum of one supplier per lot.
Contractors must offer suitable premises. Premises may be owned or leased although must be suitable for their purpose, taking into account; accessibility, car parking and maintenance of patient confidentiality.
The service is divided into two geographical lots in order to minimise patient travelling time.
The Lot 1 supplier will have a suitable premise which is located within either Airedale, Bradford or Leeds.
