Leicester City Council are currently looking for trainers or training providers for:


Target audience:
Employees of the authority looking to understand the role of coaching and particularly for managers seeking to adopt and apply coaching skills as a part of their management approach.

Course duration:
1 day up to four times per year. If it’s not appearing anywhere else, Melody, put in the option to extend clause here.

Venue: Leicester City Council premises
We are looking for a programme which will provide the following:
> A clear understanding of what coaching is, the benefits and the role it can play towards improving performance.
> An awareness of the GROW model.
> The appropriate use of coaching
> An understanding of how coaching can be integrated within existing performance management processes such as supervision and appraisal.
> Knowledge about the coaching spectrum using directive versus non-directive approaches
> An opportunity to learn and practise the skills to carry out ‘coaching conversations’ using essential coaching skills such as rapport building, powerful questioning and effective listening.
> Methods on how to give motivational feedback

Course topics we would expect to be covered:
> What is coaching?
> When to use coaching, counselling, mentoring and training
> Situational leadership and a coaching style of management
> Attributes of an effective coach
> The coaching spectrum and personal style
> The GROW coaching model
> Developing key coaching skills
> Opportunity to practice
> Personal action planning and next steps in personal development

What we would expect to be included
Delegate handbook /hand-outs

What we would wish to see in the quotation and the cost breakdown
> Suggested outline of the day with sufficient detail to illustrate the provider’s approach
> A short profile of presenter(s) who would be delivering the training including, where appropriate, experience in this field
> Design costs
> Delivery cost per event
> Estimated travel expenses costs per event
> Where applicable, meals and accommodation costs
> Two references
> Materials and printing costs per event
> Registration, accreditation, certification costs per event
