Main site or location of works, place of delivery or of performance: The location of works to be let via the framework will be within the jurisdictions of local authorities which span the South of England, from West Sussex in the East to Dorset in the West.

The set up of the framework agreement is being undertaken by the Havant, Portsmouth and Gosport Coastal Partnership but will be available for the neighbouring authorities named below to let call off contracts from. The framework will be used to let call off contracts for works on a variety of different Coastal Engineering schemes across the region.

Tenders may be submitted for one or more lots
To include: construction, maintenance and demolition to timber groynes and other timber control structures, including the removal and driving of timber piles. Construction, maintenance and demolition of navigational markers.
Lot 2: beach recycling.
To include: excavation, haulage, deposition, profiling and screening of beach material. Land based importing of suitable beach material from external sources. Clearance of beach material from public slipways or other areas of undesirable accretion. Other ground works associated with the movement of beach material.
Lot 3: rock armour.
To include: Provision, placement, removal and maintenance of rock armour structures (anticipated maximum rock size 6 tonne). Provision, placement, removal and maintenance of geotextile filter layers and core materials.
Lot 4: masonry/re-pointing/grouting works.
To include: brick/block/stone work construction, demolition and maintenance. Masonry patch repairs. Re-pointing and grouting works, including pressure grouting. Application of bituminous sealants and renewal of expansion joints.
Lot 5: civil / construction works.
To include: all general civil engineering works, including demolition and site clearance, in situ concrete and ancillaries, precast concrete, pipework, structural metalwork, miscellaneous metalwork, piles and ancillaries, pavings, surfacing, brickwork, blockwork, masonry and gabion baskets.
Lot 6: minor remedial / maintenance works.
To include: small scale make safe remedial work including call out works. Small scale routine planned maintenance (including routine maintenance to flood defence installations, life buoys, hand railing, flap valves, paving and removal of debris from the foreshore).
Lot 7: flood prevention / response.
To include: deployment of demountable flood board systems, closure of flood gates and deployment of sandbags. Routine maintenance of flood prevention installations including boards and gates. Mobilisation may be required within two hours and will include out of hours response.
