Leicester City Council wishes to appoint a training provider to deliver a one-day training course as follows:

Number of staff to be trained: 20-30

Date: This will be advised but will be 1 day between January 2013 to March 2013 and will be delivered at Leicester City Council premises.

Summary: To provide an overview of current and developing legislation relating to adult social care. To give opportunity for participants to enhance their understanding and awareness of current legislation and also possible future developments.


– Explore all relevant aspects of community care law and the implications for adult social care staff including personalisation and self-directed support

– Apply law to typical case studies

– Allow opportunity for staff to reflect upon and ask questions about their practice and experience of dilemmas.

– Enable staff to be confident in their application of community care law.

– Make staff aware of recent practice and policy guidelines and how these affect practice.

Submissions should include:

– Set out the structure for the training.

– Have sufficient detail to illustrate the approach to be taken.

– Include design and delivery costs.

– Include a short profile of the presenter(s) who will be delivering the training.


– If the Training Course is accompanied by supporting material, printing will need to be managed by the Provider.
