High Weald Lewes Havens CCG wants to commission:
— A range of services to improve the health of patients in High Weald Lewes Havens.
— To develop care pathways with local secondary care providers to facilitate seamless health and social care.
— Services that work together so that patients receive seamless healthcare and treatment that is designed around their individual needs.
— Services that build on the existing skills and expertise of community based teams and working together with local patients to deliver services that meet the specific health needs and geography for the people of High Weald Lewes Havens.
— More choice of care settings for patients.
— Increased patient involvement in decisions about their care.
— Care that meets the individual needs of each patient.
— Courses of treatment and care planned from start to finish.
— More care delivered closer to patient’s homes, reducing the need to go outside the CCG boundary.
— Reduced waiting times for services.
— Demonstrable increase in patient satisfaction.
— Closer working between health and social care providers.
— A community service that delivers value for money.
Services to be commissioned: district nursing, advanced community nurse practitioners, minor injuries and illness units, community diagnostics, intermediate care beds, community occupational therapy, dietetics, speech and language therapy, community respiratory service, community heart failure service, community neurological rehabilitation service, rapid response service, continence service, tissue viability service, Parkinson’s disease specialist nurse service, multiple sclerosis specialist nurse service, end of life care service.
The value GBP 65 000 000 is an estimate only and not a guaranteed amount of the total value over the 5 year period. Please refer to the Memorandum of Information for additional information.

This is a voluntary notice, as these are ‘Part B’ services. Although the CCG is following a procedure which is akin to the competitive dialogue procedure, the use of a voluntary Contract Notice and of terminology which reflects the competitive dialogue procedure does not indicate that the CCG accepts that it is bound by the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2006 (as amended) and/or the Public Procurement Directive (2004/18/EC) save for the provisions of the Regulations and the Directive which apply to Part B services.
