Community Respite for Adults and Older People

2.2 Description of the goods or services required

West Lothian CHCP currently commissions a respite service delivered in people’s own homes. This contract is due to end on 31st March 2014. it provides approx 12,000 hours per annum. West Lothian CHCP are tendering for a Framework with several providers to continue the service. The tender will be for new business only, current packages of care will not be transferred to the new providers unless requested by the service user. It will be evaluated on 100% quality with an hourly rate of £11.34. Providers will be required to deliver the service across West Lothian 7 days per week, 52 weeks per year in a flexible and personalised manner. Opportunities are also avaialble for the successful providers to offer their respite services to the West Lothian Flexible Respite Scheme participants and future SDS recipients.
