To support older people to remain living independently and safely in their homes through the provision of housing related support. The support will encompass low level community health, social care and housing support. The key aims of the service are:
— To ensure older people are able to explore their housing, health and social care options and be supported to remain living independently in a housing setting of their choice,
— To provide equitable access to services, specifically for people living in tenures other than sheltered housing that have needs that are not currently being met,
— To meet people’s wider needs through a support service which integrates community health and social care support, within one overall service that is free to the customer at the point of delivery.

Norfolk County Council intends to enter into one or more contracts to provide community support for older people across Norfolk. It is not envisaged that services will differ significantly within each locality however as local commissioning forums develop the successful provider will be expected to engage with them and seek to develop the service in line with the needs of that locality.
This is procurement for services specified in Part B of Schedule 3 of the Public Contracts Regulations 2006 (“Part B services”). Accordingly, the Public Contracts Regulations 2006 (as amended) only apply in part. A procurement exercise will be conducted in accordance with the information carried out in the procurement documents.
