The Services under this contract entail the composting of South Hams District Council’s mixed food, card and garden waste under Service Lot 1 (see II.2.4 below).
This tendering exercise also allows the Service provider for Lot 1 or their nominated haulier to price for the haulage of contract waste (under Service Lot 2) from South Hams’ waste transfer facility to the waste’s composting facility.
However, the Authority reserves its right to undertake an independent tendering exercise for the haulage provisions under Service Lot 2, if in its absolute discretion, the Authority considers that the haulage rates submitted by the composting service provider’s nominated haulier do not offer value.
