II.2.1)Total quantity or scope:

Northamptonshire Police, Leicestershire Constabulary and Nottinghamshire Police require a repair and maintenance service to cover all servers, personal computers, printers and associated equipment located within each authority’s The successful provider will be required to assist each of the local ICT Support functions to meet their SLAs, which includes 24 hour, 7 day a week cover.
The maintenance contract may be split between 2 levels of service:
— Service A – full service – repair and maintenance of inventory items plus other services, provided by a seconded, on-site engineer,
— Service B – repair and maintenance only, of selected inventory items, with no seconded engineer.
Each Authority will choose which level of support is to be contracted and which categories of equipment are to be covered, based on the costs and quality of service offered in the bid.
The authorities have some requirements that are core to the contract and will apply regardless of which of Service A or Service B is selected.
Where Service A is selected, the service provider should meet not only the core requirements but also those stated in, “Requirements Specific to Service A – full service”.
Where Service B is selected, this will be delivered by the service provider meeting the core requirements.

Description of these options: Northamptonshire police intention is to award a 2 year contract for the provision of the repair and maintenance of Hardware, with the option for 3 x 12 months extensions, other participating authorities may choose to extend their individual contract.
