The General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) has its Headquarters in Lambeth. Currently it occupies space in two buildings, and requires relocating to a single, appropriately fitted out good quality office facility elsewhere in London. The GPhC requires to partner with a specialist fitting out contractor to work with them to develop technical and interior designs, competitively price for the works and undertake the build out operations on its behalf. A new facility of approximately 40,000 sq ft is currently being sought and initial design and cost plans will be requested from prospective partners to enable the GPhC to assess, with the aid of professional advisors, those submissions for suitability. Included within the submissions will be advice relating to value for money, efficiency, methods of execution, H&S management, environmental impact and timing. The intention is to select via this process, a suitable contractor to undertake these or similar, fit out works.
The GPhC is the independent regulator for pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and pharmacy premises in Great Britain. In order to practise in Great Britain pharmacists and pharmacy technicians must be registered with us. Currently, there are approximately 45,000 registered pharmacists, 20,000 pharmacy technicians and 13,500 pharmacy premises.
