Southern Water has a water supply work in Testwood, Hampshire, UK.
The work currently has the capacity to process 95 mega litres per day (ml/d) of water. The site needs enhancing to allow for a treatment capacity of up to 136 ml/d. Provision of detailed design and construction of the works and also a transfer pumping station. The work needs to commence by February 2013 and construction completed by September 2014. The feasibility studies and outline design may form part of this agreement. Concurrently, Southern Water will be building a transfer pipeline from Otterbourne to Testwood, Hampshire, UK. Whilst it is proposed that work to enhance the site at Testwood and the construction of the pipeline will be awarded separately, Southern Water may seek to offer both agreements to one contractor.

This is a call for competition. Interested providers must express an interest by e-mail to the contact in section 1 by the deadline shown in this notice, requesting a Questionnaire and should provide their Company name and / or a principal contact name, email address and telephone number. No further information is required at this stage and an acknowledgement e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address provided in the expression of interest. Questionnaires will be sent after the closing date of this notice. Applicants will be invited to complete and return the Questionnaire with all the information required to satisfy the conditions of participation. Southern Water may invite one or a number of candidates to attend an interview as part of the selection process. Southern Water may also invite one ore a number of candidates to negotiate for the contract(s). A Bond and/or Parent Company Guarantee may be required. Southern Water Services Ltd may use a ‘reverse auction’ as part of the procedures leading to the award of the contract.

Description of these options: Southern Water may choose to award more than one contract for the design and execution of this work, and also choose to combine these elements with the intended Testwood to Otterbourne transfer pipeline (see separate notice).
