Welsh Ministers have devolved responsibility for marine and sea fisheries matters in Wales. In the first instance the responsibility extends to Welsh Waters, namely 12 nautical miles from baselines, but also extends to the Welsh Zone for certain matters which extends to the median line shared with other countries or devolved administrations.

Objectives of the contract

To produce a report, which interprets the relevant information that specifies the WG and wider Welsh statutory requirements for at-sea services and the asset options/combinations needed to deliver them.

To produce options for identified assets, estimated costs and an assessment of how they might be procured. This should also include a full breakdown of anticipated running costs, staffing / servicing requirements and other associated costs. Options should not only consider different types of asset but also different procurement pathways (e.g. lease, purchase, etc).

To undertake a market assessment to determine the availability and timescale for meeting the options which should include new build and refit of second-hand assets.

– Registration should only be performed once for each Organisation.

– If you think that someone in your Organisation may have already registered on this Platform then you must not register again.

– Please contact the person who Registered (i.e. the Super User) in order to arrange access to the Platform.

– Contact the Helpdesk immediately if you are unable to contact the Super User (for example if they have left your Organisation).

– Note: If your Organisation is already registered on the Platform then you must not make any additional registration. Please contact the Helpdesk to gain access to the Platform.
