- The Connecting Cheshire Partnership (a partnership between Cheshire East Council, Cheshire West and Chester Council, Warrington Council and Halton Council) is working towards a vision to ensure Cheshire, Warrington and Halton has 96% coverage of fibre services by 2015, connecting our communities, developing our digital economy and attracting investment. A recent study points to a potential economic benefit of fibre broadband access of £1.3 billion over 15 years and create 11,500 jobs for the area. The project is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and Broadband Delivery UK. This RFQ seeks quotations from appropriately qualified and experienced consultants to carry out project evaluations on the Connecting Cheshire superfast broadband project and an accompanying business survey. The purpose is to assess the full impact of the Connecting Cheshire superfast broadband project, considering quantitative and qualitative economic, social and environmental impacts, whilst gathering intelligence to inform future policy. Please note you are required to register, express an interest, download the RFQ documentation and upload the completed RFQ documentation by 12 Noon Tuesday 6th May 2014. Please ensure you leave sufficient time to upload your RFQ submission prior to the closing date/time. All clarifications must be submitted via ‘the Chest’. Queries should be received no later than 12 Noon Tuesday 29th April 2014.
