Consultant Quantity Surveyor/Contract Administrator

Description of the goods or services required

Clyde Valley Housing Association are looking to appoint a Surveyor to undertake the role of Quantity Surveyor and where required Contract Administrator. These roles will deal with a range of projects across both out Investment and Operations directorates; however the greatest allocation of workload will come through our Investment Directorate’s Capital replacement programme.

Our capital programme generally consists of the following contract types:

-Kitchens

-Bathrooms

-Re-Wires

-Heating Renewals and Upgrades

-Cyclical Decoration and Gutter Cleaning

-Roof Renewals

-Render Renewals and Upgrades

-Environmental Improvements

-Windows and Door Renewals

Total quantity or scope of tender

The intended contract would be awarded on a 3 year basis, with an option to extended for a further 1 year period. The appointed consultant can expect to provide both QS and Contract Administration services on approximately 6-8 contracts per year, individual works contract values ranging from £50k – £300k.

3 Conditions for Participation

3.1

Minimum standards and qualification required

Tenderers should note that as minimum the Association are looking to appoint Members of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), in addition we are looking for surveyors who have an extensive knowledge of the challenges in delivering capital programmes for housing Association, and in addition also have a good working knowledge of Scottish traditional and non traditional housing types.
