This is a PIN notice to inform interested suppliers that The Office for Product Safety and Standards is planning to launch a tender to commission a Consumer Product Safety Public Attitudes Tracker.
The Office for Product Safety and Standards plan to hold a supplier engagement event before launching the invitation to tender.
The Public Attitudes Tracker is a twice annual online survey of 10,000 consumers, complemented by a small number of focus groups. The objective of the research is to continue to track consumer attitudes and behaviours relating to a range of consumer product safety and standards topics. This is because in order to design policies, guidance and communication campaigns that will be relevant and useful to consumers, there is a need to understand existing attitudes and awareness and the extent to which they change over time.
The survey is already in place, and this tender is to recommission the survey for a further year, with the option to extend for up to an additional two years. The maximum duration of this contract is therefore 3 years.

The Office for Product Safety and Standards plan to hold a supplier engagement event before launching the invitation to tender. The premarket engagement event will be held on Monday, 5th July 2021, from 10:00 – 11:00 via MS Teams. This will provide an opportunity for potential providers to find out more about the aims of the procurement and the process. Providers wishing to attend need to RSVP by 15.00 on Friday, 2nd July 2021 stating their name, title, email address and telephone number.
