Description of the contract

Background Our client is currently recruiting for a Content Manager for an 11 month contract based in London. The information on the current site needs to be extensively enhanced and maintained in order to support the new programme which is currently in its implementation stage. You will need to work with stakeholders to ensure that the content is relevant, current, easy to find and of the highest quality. You must also support the technical team in an upgrade and ensure that the relevant content can be migrated over to the new system in the summer of 2012. Main Duties/ Responsibilities You will be responsible for the web content- ensuring that all content is up to date and provide regular reports to the project’s steering group. You need to have solid technical skills to update website and engage with stakeholders on contents issues. Essential job functions: – Maintain and enhance the current content – Content pages and images – Navigation – Videos – Report to management and board meetings as and when required – Support the help desk analyst with technical queries – Development and maintenance of FAQs – General housekeeping of the site Outputs/ Deliverables to be achieved • Maintain and enhance content of the website • Ensure content is up to date • Remove the old content and archive it • Maintain version control on documents • Provide weekly and month report to the client’s steering group Skills/ Experience Required EXPERT KNOWLEDGE ON • Web content management • HTML programming • Ability to create new pages, write and load articles, documents and images EXPERIENCE OF • Presenting user friendly content • Communicating with a range of stakeholders • Good organisational skills • Facilitating user group • Regular reporting and providing feedback • Employ continuous improvement techniques
