The London Borough of Croydon is implementing a Framework Agreement to assist in the procurement of Foster Care placements for its Looked After Children Population, incorporating both Children and Young People indigenous to Croydon and Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children. .
This Framework Agreement will be for the provision of Foster Care Services for Children and Young People up to 18 years of age looked after by the Council and in exceptional circumstances up to 22 years of age particularly where they attend university outside of their home towns and require vocational short break accommodation during summer breaks and half terms in their local area) The Council intends to award a 3 years contract with an optional 12 month extension. The Framework Agreement is expected to be awarded in Mid July 2012. The Provider will work with the Council to achieve positive outcomes for the Child or Young Person and meet the detailed objectives of the placement in order to help the Council achieve the five outcomes set out in Every Child Matters and to achieve the specific needs of the Child or Young Person as identified in the Individual Placement Contract Order and to help the Council meet its statutory duties and responsibilities. The deadline for the submission of responses to this tender exercise is 12.00pm Friday 1 st June 2012 with all clarification questions to have been received by 12.00pm Wednesday 25 th May 2012. The Framework is currently anticipated to be implemented for all new placements from 1 August 2012.
