NHS England has asked HQIP to commission a National Child Mortality Database (NCMD). The aim of the NCMD programme is to establish a national child mortality database which will collect a minimum dataset arising from the reviews of all child deaths in England; and a small team to quality assure, scrutinise and analyse the data derived from the database and provide timely and useful outputs to relevant stakeholders, to facilitate learning and actions to reduce preventable child mortality.

II.2.1)Total quantity or scope:

The contract value for the initial 4 year term is between 1 500 000 GBP and 1 789 059 GBP (excluding VAT).
The minimum value of 1 500 000 GBP is based on the programme being delivered for solely England. Should the other devolved nations join in the programme then the value for each additional nation is as per breakdown below.
These figures are for the full 4 year term, excluding VAT, and will be pro-rated according to date of commencement in the programme.
Wales 86 829 GBP.
Scotland 150 355 GBP.
Northern Ireland 51 875 GBP.
Bidders should submit their Schedule of Offer based on providing the database for England only.
This contract will also have the option of a further two years subject to satisfactory delivery and continued funding.
