St Helens Safeguarding Children Board require a Reviewer for a Critical Incident Review as outlined within Working Together to Safeguard Children 2013- Chapter 4 which says – ‘reviews are conducted regularly , not only on cases which meet statutory criteria , but also on other cases which can provide useful insights into the way organisations are working together to safeguard and protect the welfare of children’ .
The Review will be conducted across a range of partner agencies . The reviewer will be expected to meet with these agencies and scope out the learning that can be gained from this particular case. The Reviewer will be expected to produce a high quality report of the findings for external publication.The Reviewer will be expected to work with the Critical Incident Panel, Partner agencies and the Independent Chair and will be suitably qualified to utilise a systems method of investigation, providing robust challenge to the partnership and extracting key learning for the final report  . The role requires  high level communication skills and experience of producing high quality reports.
