St Helens Safeguarding Children Board require a Reviewer for a Serious Case Review as outlined within Working Together to Safeguard Children 2013 . The Review will be conducted across a range of partner agencies. The reviewer will be expected to meet with these agencies and scope out the learning that can be gained from this particular case. The Reviewer will be expected to produce a high quality report of the findings fit for external publication.

The Reviewer will be expected to work with the Serious Case Review Panel, Partner agencies and the Independent Chair and will be suitably qualified to utilise a systems method of investigation, providing robust challenge to the partnership and extracting key learning for the final report  . The role requires  high level communication skills and experience of producing high quality reports.  For this particular case the Board requires expertise in the area of mental health adolescents and the Youth Justice system.

The Board believe that in this instance the review is likely to be an Intensive serious case review as outlined within the North West Improvement Framework and would welcome an outline of how the Reviewer would structure their approach / planning when delivering this type of Serious Case Review.
