Description
Wirksworth Heritage Centre in Derbyshire is in the process of re-locating to a central location in the town. Its new site is currently under redevelopment, funded largely by a £1.3m grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund. The project is now about to enter the stage 2 Delivery Phase.
The trustees wish to appoint a suitably experienced organisation to:
1. Develop a set of design proposals for the museum exhibition spaces and other areas of interpretation areas in the building.
2. Plan the interior design of the retail and catering areas in the new heritage centre, which will also incorporate elements of heritage interpretation.
3. Manage the design, build and fit-out process of the museum, its exhibition spaces and other interpretation areas.
The contract will commence in late March 2017 and will continue until the opening of the new heritage centre in June/July 2018
