II.2.1)Total quantity or scope:

The contract will run for the core period of 21.6.2012 to 20.6.2014 and consideration based upon performance and agreement on pricing will be given to a one year until 21st June 2015, plus one year until 21.6.2016.
The Authority letting the agreement requires to establish a framework agreement in collaboration with Merseyside Fire & Rescue. The intended take up of the contract is within the Merseyside Procurement Partnership (MPP). The authority within the group being Halton Borough Council in collaboration with Merseyside Fire and Rescue.
Knowsley Borough Council, Liverpool City Council, Wirral Council, St Helens, Sefton Council, Cheshire West & Chester Council and Mersey Travel are the other Merseyside authorities. Whilst these authorities do not currently have a need to take up the resulting contract, they may wish to consider doing so at some later point.
