DCC has a requirement for the provision of crane hire and related personnel.
The framework agreement is for the provision of all-terrain telescopic cranes in the West Wales area.
It is anticipated that the main users of the framework agreement will be treatment works, pumping stations and combined sewer overflows, where the cranes will be used to lift plant and equipment (e.g. pumps).
The equipment can be provided in one of 2 ways -standard crane hire or full contract lift.

The agreement will predominantly be used on a planned basis, where the contractor is given some notice of requirements. However, there is no guarantee of volumes.
There may also be occasions where emergency or other unplanned urgent requirements arise.
The estimated value is approximate only, and the actual requirement for this service will be to such a level as DCC require for their operational needs.

Description of these options: The framework agreement awarded will be for an initial 2 year period with options to extend for a further 2 periods (of 2 years and 1 year) at the sole discretion of DCC.
