This tender seeks to enter into an agreement for the maintenance of the cremators and associated equipment at Landican Crematorium, Wirral, Merseyside for a period of five years from 1.1.2015.
Background:
Two new cremators and associated equipment were installed and commissioned at Landican Crematorium in November 2011. The current maintenance agreement is due to expire on 31.12.2014.
The cremators (IFZW KE400 and KE400+) are a free fall design, not currently used elsewhere in the UK.
Landican Crematorium is the only crematorium within the Wirral Borough Council and carries out between 2 800 and 3 100 cremations per year.

This tender seeks to enter into an agreement for the maintenance of the cremators and associated equipment at Landican Crematorium, for a period of five years from 1.1.2015.
Background:
Two new cremators and associated equipment were installed and commissioned at Landican Crematorium in November 2011. The current maintenance agreement is due to expire on 31.12.2014.
The cremators (IFZW KE400 and KE400+) are a free fall design, not currently used elsewhere in the UK.
Landican Crematorium is the only crematorium within the Wirral Borough Council and carries out between 2 800 and 3 100 cremations per year.
Special capabilities of suppliers:
1.1 In depth knowledge and experience of KE400 and KE400+ freefall cremators.
1.2 Provision of refractory forming stones with an 85% aluminium oxide content, including coffin support grid and side air stones.
1.3 Provision of rotary plates and bearings for rotary plates to ensure the segregation of remains in accordance with the codes of cremation practice.
1.4 Experience and provision of PLC system specific to the above cremators.
1.5 Provision of spare parts for the waste gas cleaning system and the filter unit.
1.6 Provision of spare parts and consumables to ensure the continued operation of all equipment.
1.7 Ensure cremators and associated equipment including mercury abatement equipment operate within the emission levels as contained within EPA requirements.
