The NPIA has a new requirement for the provision of crime and justice mapping services, as part of the Police.uk domain. This is to support Government requirements for transparency and open data, as a powerful tool to help reform public services, foster innovation and empower citizens. The services will require secure hosting and the ability to add new enhancements to the application, as sentencing and outcome data becomes further integrated with crime data.
The NPIA intends to go to market to procure a technical solution, which meets existing and new requirements. These new requirements are based on new ministerial commitments which need to be delivered by the supplier.
The NPIA requires a supplier to provide a solution based on an output specification within 6 months of contract award.
This contract is for 3 years with an option to extend for a further 2 years.
