Description

Nottinghamshire County Council and partner agencies have invested in work with young people to reduce the numbers that are entering the criminal justice system. Whilst great strides have been made we want to continue to invest in this work, focusing particularly on the 15 Partnership Plus areas of the county.
Nottinghamshire County Council wishes to appoint multiple providers who will each provide one or a number of different activities that will deliver the following provision within 15 areas , across North Notts, West Notts and South Notts.

Providers will be required to price their offering within the affordibility cap of £10,000. Multiple contracts may be awarded within each partnership Plus Area.

For a period of nine months July 2013-March 2013 .

Provision of Targeted activities for Children and Young People in the community ”

We are now looking for a number of projects to deliver additional provision within those areas during the school holidays, evenings and at weekends for young people aged 8 -12 and 12 -16 years. This provision will normally take the form of group activities; the activities should be interesting and extend the experiences of the young people involved.

Criteria
Activities will:
• Increase the young person’s social and personal skills
• Build self-awareness and self esteem
• Provide the young person with a constructive use of time
• Equip the young person with useable skills
• Increase the young person’s understanding of responsibility

Outcomes
• A reduction in reported crime & antisocial behaviour by young people within target area.
• Increased involvement by young people in positive activities.
• Decrease in truancy and exclusions for young people involved in activities.
