Description of the contract

Dstl has a requirement to conduct a crowd sourcing exercise to understand how the odour produced in processes such as brewing of beer could be detected in a busy urban environment, such as a town centre or university campus The Crowd sourcing exercise should identify new and novel techniques and potential detection sensor equipment. The Crowd sourcing exercise should identify potential detection sensors, technologies and methods that would reduce the search area and ideally be able to indicate the exact building in which the odour was being produced. DSTL would expect the contractor to put the requirement out to a large group of people. Collate all feedback and ideas to provide a summary, discussion and conclusion. This work may be suited to a University body or other research establishment.
