Culture Change Programme

The need to address attitudes and behaviours at ULHT is critical to our future success and to our quality improvement journey. Too often staff are ‘told’ what to do differently, without any attention paid to ‘how’ to shift those behaviours authentically and willingly.

Improvement on an organisational level is dependent upon individuals understanding how (and having willingness to) change certain behaviours. An understanding of this deep rooted process is vital to succeed here as opposed to making surface level changes which fail to impact and do not last.

The Trust is seeking a provider of training which will deliver the following outcomes:

• Enable culture change at ULHT by working on areas of behaviours, attitudes, leadership and accountability .

• Through practical and simple tools and techniques, participants will leave inspired and with a genuine understanding as to how to apply this and challenge current beliefs, mindset and behaviour within the context of ULHT

• Give delegates an understanding of why we behave the way we do in order to bring about genuinely lasting change in individual and team performance

• Enable participants to change the way they behave giving either temporary flexibility in our approach to others or permanent change in areas where this is necessary.

• Help our leaders understand the mechanics of their belief system and how that manifests itself in behaviours and create genuine and sustainable organisational change

The training needs to focus on a number of schools of thought. These include performance psychology, practical behavioural models and the latest neurophysiology delivered in a pragmatic way to give hard evidence as to how our self- imposed limits, which give us expectations and beliefs far below our true capabilities, come into being.

The provider will work in partnership with internal stakeholders to develop internal capability in order to sustain and spread the learning and anticipated culture change.
