DANTE seeks routes into its GÉANT PoPs that do not share the same path into or out of a specific PoP. This is in order to ensure resilience and preserve the integrity of the ring topology that is designed into the network and provide the DANTE NOC with our own restoration paths in the event of an outage on a specific link. Therefore this procurement will assess the diversity of all offered routes to ensure that the optimum solution for DANTE can be selected in respect of network integrity and price.
Each route is set out as a specific Lot and Bidders are invited to respond to 1 or more Lots.
Contracts that may be awarded from this procurement will run for 5 years with 2 possible annual extensions.
