Description

Derby City Council is looking to procure a single suitably qualified company to carry out works and improvements to an existing culvert beneath Darley Street, Derby. Scope of works to include:

The installation of a new 105m long section of 450mm diameter culvert to replace a damaged section of the historic Nut Brook. Due to existing conditions and access within Darley Street, the work is to be carried out using a mix of a traditionally dug trench and “no dig” techniques, and will utilise partial or complete road closures as appropriate.

The formation of 3 number new manhole chambers, of which two to form driving and receiving chambers for the trenchless dig.

The location and incorporation of an existing storm inflow into the new alignment from Old Lane

The replacement of 13 existing road gullies and connections into the culvert to improve the flow of stormwater within Darley Street.

The contract start date will be Monday 14th January 2012 with estimated date of works completion scheduled for Friday, 22nd March 2013.
